  2. Choose your child's sex and preferred units (metric or imperial).
  3. Enter both parents' heights.
  4. For Khamis-Roche, also enter the child's current age, height, and weight.
  5. Click Predict Height to see the estimated adult height range and percentile.

The Formula

Mid-Parental (boy): (Mother's height + 13cm + Father's height) / 2 ± 8.5cm. Mid-Parental (girl): (Father's height - 13cm + Mother's height) / 2 ± 8.5cm. Khamis-Roche uses regression coefficients based on age, height, weight, and parent heights.

Frequently Asked Questions

The mid-parental method gives a rough estimate within about ±8.5 cm (3.3 inches). It's a simple calculation that only considers genetics through parent heights. The Khamis-Roche method is more accurate when child measurements are available.
